Capturing the Friedmans
A film by Andrew Jarecki, 107 minutes
Tuesday 13th September 2016, 5.45pm
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, G3
A compelling and unsettling award winning film, based on true events and raising as many questions as it answers. The Friedmans are a respectable middle-class family living in Long Island in the 1980’s and 90’s. They make a hobby of recording their daily lives and continue to do so after the father and one of the three sons are accused of sexually abusing children. The film explores the impact on family members as conflicting evidence unfolds. The screening will be followed by a panel and audience discussion.
The screening will be subtitled with BSL interpretation for the panel discussion.
